It's a good idea to inspect your photo collection from time to time in order to make sure that they are in good condition. Make sure that your photos do not show signs of serious fading or color shift. The longer you ignore this type of damage the harder it is to correct.

This photo is a good example of what happens to a lot of pictures. The original colors are obscured by a yellow cast. Most people do not notice this color change until it becomes severe.

Detail on the globe in the lower left had completely faded away, so we cloned in a new globe. 

We also conducted a whole series of spot corrections in order to bring out the original colors.
